GB Cacao Bliss Butter

This nourishing body butter combines our signature suet tallow, jojoba oil and beeswax recipe with a Cacao C02 extract made from fair trade, organic and unroasted Ecuadorian Cacao beans. With its rich, buttery chocolate scent this moisturizer is sure to transport you to the tropics. More about C02 extracts: Unlike steam distillation or solvent extraction, which is used often in essential oil extraction, the C02 method draws out the plants fatty acids as well as the essential oils to create a deeply aromatic and nourishing extract. The CO2 then evaporates leaving the pure plant compounds without damaging them with high temperatures. This extract is a thick, rich paste that contains palmitic, stearic and oleic acid as well as other skin loving fatty acids from the Cacao bean. Up until now we have refrained from using pure essential oils in any of our products as we strive to use oils made with the whole plant intead. However, we feel comfortable using the Cacao CO2 extract as it offers us much more than just the scented volatile oils of the plant which can be quite drying for the skin.
